Well Thanksgiving was awesome - it was small and quiet and the turkey was awesome. I just wish it would snow! My roommate pointed some snow out to be on the side of the road a few days ago and me, being such a Floridian, argued that it was sand. Ever since then, though, I have been absolutely obsessive about it snowing since I've yet to ever see it fall from the sky. I'm anxious!

This time of year always passes so fast. I'm struggling to balance things I *have* to get done and things I *want* to get done. The commissions are slowing down a touch now that the Christmas deadlines seem to have passed and I'm finding sleep to be a glorious thing...or it would be if my roommate wasn't addicted to EverQuest2 and similarly got me playing it again.

I am doing some commissions for over the holidays though! Yay!

Cards, badges, illustrations, covers, colors (comic/pin-up), Environment/Background, Character, Object, Prop, Reference Sheets, Concept, Interface, Buttons, Banners, Animal/Character Busts and Portraits, etc!

Prices vary, but during the holidays I try to be a little more generous about it and am not unwilling to work something out -- so long as the deal is fair for both parties. If you *really* want a commission, now is the time to get one. I'm only going to do three!

I prefer payment via paypal, but will sometimes accept other methods. Large projects require a contract and/or 50% of the payment up front.






Commissioning artwork does not mean you own the copyrights to that artwork. You are *not* allowed to print, redistribute, alter, crop, claim as your own/copyright, sell, promote or use the image for anything but personal use. If you want to use already existing artwork or post it somewhere then YOU NEED PERMISSION FROM ME to do so. All it takes is a note or email of "Hey, I really like this image, is it okay if I post it on my site >link<?" And I'll kindly respond.

If you want copyrights to the work it needs to be your own original design/character. Copyrights allow you freedoms (which are worked out between the artist and the client) of use. You cannot obtain a copyright by saying "I own this, it's mine, I bought it.". You *have* to have a contract. It's not just something I require, it's what all artists should and what all clients should ask for because it protects both parties.

Asking for copyrights is expensive. I charge $300 + the cost of the artwork (if traditional, otherwise, I will just charge $300 for the digital image). I will provide my own contract or work one out individually with a client if they do not have their own.


[] *** You can NOT Copyright an already existing character. You may NOT ask for Copyrights to an already existing character. THAT MEANS FANART -- yes, even if you changed the color of their hair. Altering images in the way of changing colors/saturation, adding another element (such as another image or logo or text), cropping, rotating, etc does not mean it is yours unless you own the original work.
